    Saurav Bhattacharyya is the CEO and co-founder of Quantum Inventions (QI), a leader in innovation, specialising in connected automotive navigation delivering rich on-board information services for consumer’s motoring convenience and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) for enterprise and government solutions.

    A recipient of an undergraduate scholarship at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) from SIA-NOL in 1996, he has made contributions to the Singapore ICT industry through a standards driven technology implementation focus and innovation in the ITS sector for government and consumer applications.

    Having graduated with an Honours degree in Computer Engineering in 2000, he started a research-oriented career at the Centre for High Performance Embedded Systems (CHiPES) at NTU. In the five years he spent there, he published over 26 academic.

    Stemming from his research in embedded voice biometrics algorithms, he joined the national standards initiative under the Biometrics Technical Committee (ITSC). Saurav has since served the ITSC in various capacities fulfilling international standards development roles, as the Chair of interoperability working group under BTC and as the Deputy Chair of Intelligent Transport Standards Committee under ITSC. Saurav joined the Intelligent Transport Society of Singapore (ITSS) in 2006 and has served the society in various capacities, most currently as its Vice President.

    In 2006, after securing Masters in Computer Engineering, he moved on to commercialise navigation and routing technology from CHiPES, NTU, through Quantum Inventions (QI), together with co-founder, Prof Thambipillai Srikanthan. QI has, since its inception, realised the use of research technology in various enterprise and consumer applications. From creating commercial value for its traffic information services, QI is now moving to providing in-vehicle information and navigation services to automotive OEM’s globally. Saurav aims to transform QI into a global navigation and motoring information services leader in the coming years.

    Saurav has been conferred the Merit Award by Standards Council of Singapore in 2009, and through his leadership, QI has been awarded the Young Innovator Award under the Land Transport Excellence Awards in 2010.
